Internships

Federalist Society interns assist staff as researchers, editors, and proofreaders. Interns work on the National Lawyers Convention and other Practice Group programs and attend various events. Administrative and clerical work is kept to a minimum, and interns will focus more on substantive work.

Federalist Society internships are for undergraduates, graduate students, or law students who have a strong commitment to the belief that the state exists to preserve freedom, that the separation of governmental powers is central to our Constitution, and that it is emphatically the province and duty of the judiciary to say what the law is, not what it should be.

Students may apply for internships at our Washington, DC office for either the Fall or the Spring semesters. All internships are unpaid, but may be completed for course credit through the student’s college or university. Below are the relevant due dates.

Fall - Applications Due July 15

Winter - Applications Due October 15

Spring - Applications Due November 15

Summer - Applications Due March 15
