  • James Ho, Partner, Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher

Mr. Ho is a partner in the Dallas office of Gibson Dunn and widely recognized expert in appellate and constitutional law.  The U. S. Supreme Court, the Texas Supreme Court, and the U.S. Courts of Appeals have cited his amicus briefs.  As Solicitor General of Texas, Mr. Ho represented Attorney General Greg Abbott.  He has served as Chief Counsel to Senator John Cornyn and to the Senate Judiciary Subcommittees on the Constitution and Immigration.  At the Justice Department, he helped lead the Civil Rights Division and then worked in the Office of Legal Counsel.  He also served as a law clerk for Justice Clarence Thomas and Judge Jerry Smith of the Fifth Circuit.  As an adjunct professor of law at the University of Texas  School of War, Mr. Ho taught U.S. Supreme Court Litigation.  He received his undergraduate degree from Stanford University with honors and his law degree from the University of Chicago Law School with high honors.
