Walker Stapleton was sworn in as Colorado's 43rd State Treasurer on January 11, 2011. Prior to public service, Stapleton served as CEO and CFO of various private and publicly traded companies. His extensive private sector background in finance has uniquely prepared him for the job of State Treasurer. Stapleton graduated from Williams College in Massachusetts, and he holds a graduate degree in business economics from the London School of Economics and an MBA from Harvard Business School. His community service includes serving on the board of The Denver Public Library Friends Foundation, the Leadership Council of J.K. Mullen High School, and he and his wife are directors of Denver's chapter of Social Venture Partners.
