Learn Liberty Online Course
Andrew P. Morriss
The Cayman Islands, infamously known for international tax sheltering, experienced a miracle when it went from a backwards and savage barter economy in the 1960s, to a per capita GDP that was higher than the UK’s in the 1980s.
Join us as we partner up with LearnLiberty.org and Prof. Andrew Morriss to explore the institutional, legal, and regulatory frameworks, predicated on property rights and a rule of law, that led to this mass wealth creation and complete economic transformation in only 20 short years!
LearnLiberty.org is a project of the Institute for Humane Studies (IHS). Each year, IHS runs educational and talent development programs for students, including free, weeklong summer seminars that feature some of the faculty on LearnLiberty.org! IHS also awards scholarships, sponsors internships, and provides other forms of career assistance to students and recent graduates pursuing careers in academia, journalism, and public policy. Through these programs, IHS promotes the study of liberty across a broad range of disciplines, encouraging understanding, open inquiry, rigorous scholarship, and creative problem-solving.
