Elizabeth Papez is a partner at Winston & Strawn and she is a member of that firm’s nationwide appellate and critical motions practice. Ms. Papez has private and public sector experience litigating high-profile matters and providing counsel on the legal and strategic aspects of complex business and compliance issues. In addition, Ms. Papez has briefed appeals in the U.S. Supreme Court and state and federal courts across the country and argued cases in several circuits on behalf of private clients and the United States.
Prior to joining Winston & Strawn, Ms. Papez served as Deputy Assistant Attorney General in the U.S. Justice Department’s Office of Legal Counsel and as law clerk to U.S. Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas.
