Neil Chilson

Neil Chilson is an Attorney-Advisor to Commissioner Ohlhausen at Federal Trade Commission. His policy expertise includes privacy and data security (such as big data and internet of things), advertising substantiation, FTC deception and unfairness authority, and broadband competition policy (including net neutrality). Prior to joining Commissioner Ohlhausen’s staff, Mr. Chilson was an associate at Wilkinson Barker Knauer, LLP, where he primarily practiced telecommunications law. Before attending the George Washington University Law School, Neil was a software developer and received an M.S. in Computer Science from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
