Mr. Prerak Shah
Prerak Shah is an associate in the Dallas office of Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher LLP. He is a member of the firm's Litigation Department and practices in the Appellate and Constitutional Law Practice Group.
Mr. Shah has represented clients in a wide range of trial and appellate proceedings, in areas including constitutional law, antitrust, criminal law, consumer protection, insurance law, and fraud. He has argued before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit, and represented clients in the Supreme Court of the United States, the Supreme Court of Texas, and the Texas Courts of Appeals. Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Shah clerked for the Honorable Jerry E. Smith of the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit.
Mr. Shah graduated with Honors from the University of Chicago Law School in 2010, where he was a John M. Olin Fellow in Law & Economics and a recipient of the Thomas R. Mulroy Prize for Excellence in Appellate Advocacy and Oral Argument. He received a Bachelor of Science degree cum laude in Biology from Drexel University.
Mr. Shah is admitted to practice in the State of Texas and before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit and Seventh Circuit.
