The U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit has developed a unique jurisprudence in cases involving religious liberty. From holding recitation of the pledge of allegiance in public schools unconstitutional to invalidating the display of a cross erected as part of a war memorial, the court has issued a series of rulings that push the envelope in addressing the constitutionality of various government policies implicating religious liberties.
