Human Rights Education, Religion, and Parental Choice in Education

On December 10, 2004, the United Nations General Assembly adopted a resolution proclaiming the World Programme for Human Rights Education beginning January 1, 2005 and noting with appreciation the draft Plan of Action for its first three years. The promotion of the World Programme for Human Rights Education among nations is an attempt on the part of the United Nations, its affiliated agencies, and non-governmental organizations to indoctrinate school children in a global ethical religion.
