David M. McIntosh
Former Congressman David McIntosh focuses his practice on government affairs. His extensive government experience includes stints in both the Reagan and first Bush administrations, as well as service in the US House of Representatives.
David McIntosh develops a winning strategy for clients who have policy issues before Congress and the Administration. He specializes in preparing clients to respond to Congressional oversight investigations. He has represented major telecommunications companies promoting internet competition, energy companies on global warming and regulatory issues, major healthcare companies on price control and reimbursement issues. He also coordinated work for a tax coalition working on AMT reform. During the Reagan administration, he served as special assistant to the Attorney General and as special assistant to the President for Domestic Affairs. During the first Bush administration, he served as executive director of the President's Council on Competitiveness and assistant to the Vice President. He later represented Indiana's second district in the House of Representatives (1995 until January 2001), becoming chairman of the Subcommittee on Regulatory Relief, which had oversight of environmental, labor, and FDA regulations.
