Running Time: 00:13:30
On June 26, 2008, the Supreme Court decided the District of Columbia v. Heller case. The decision, in striking down the DC gun ban, held that the Second Amendment protects an individual right to possess a firearm unconnected with service in a militia, and to use that arm for traditionally lawful purposes, such as self-defense within the home. Attorney C. Kevin Marshall of Jones Day disccuses the case. In a separate SCOTUScast, Professor Nelson Lund offers his analysis.
