Opponents from the left and the right have argued against it on ground ranging from alleged regressiveness to the loss of cherished tax deductions purported to further some desirable social and/or economic interest. What say you? Come join the debate! When it comes to the need for changes in the tax code that may (or may not) amount to more than rearranging chairs on the deck of a sinking ship, which side are you on? Would a flat rate tax across the board on individual and corporate income simplify and improve our lives, advancing liberty, or would such a major change portend some grave ills?
