Bio for Nelson Lund

On June 26, 2008, the Supreme Court decided the District of Columbia v. Heller case. The decision, in striking down the DC gun ban, held that the Second Amendment protects an individual right to possess a firearm unconnected with service in a militia, and to use that arm for traditionally lawful purposes, such as self-defense within the home. Professor Nelson Lund of George Mason University School of Law discusses the case. In a separate SCOTUScast, attorney C. Kevin Marshall offers his analysis.
